Survivor - O Surgimento da Banda
Survivor é uma banda de hard rock formada em 1978 em Chicago, nos Estados Unidos da America, que ficou muito popular por interpretar a música Eye of the Tiger, do filme Rocky 3. A formação original era composta por Frankie Sullivan, Jim Peterik, Dave Bickler, Dennis Johnson e Gary Smith. O álbum “Survivor” foi lançado em 79 e o álbum "Eye of the Tiger" foi lançado em 82. Após seu lançamento, Stephen Eliss e Marc Doubray substituiram o baixista e o baterista respectivamente. A banda começou a fazer pequenas apresentações, visando divulgar o álbum. O próximo disco chamou-se “Premonition” e trouxe a bela canção “Take You On a Saturday”. A banda não deixou a peteca cair e em 1985 lançou um álbum que emplacou mais dois hits, “High On You” e “The Search is Over”. O álbum se chamou “Vital Signs”. Além do sucesso Eye of the Tiger no filme Rocky, outro sucesso foi consagrado na continuação do filme em 85, a canção "Burning Heart".
No começo da década de 90, a banda trouxe duas novas faixas que contavam com o retorno de Dave Bickler aos vocais. Foi lançado o álbum “Empires”, que não conta com os guitarristas originais e fundadores da banda, apenas Jimi Jameson e um mar de músicos desconhecidos. Apesar dos pesares o álbum agradou em cheio aos ouvintes. Porém não voi suficiente para revitalizar o nome da banda. Em 2006, 18 anos depois do disco inédito da banda, "Too Hot to Sleep" e 10 após "Empires" Survivor lança o álbum "Reach" que foi recebido com muita alegria pelos fãs. E contando com Jimi Jamison, Frank Sullivan e Marc Droubay, sobreviventes das formações. A banda não divulgou se irá lançar novos álbuns, isso deixar o futuro da banda meio incerto, mas os antigos integrantes ainda estão na ativa.

Sempre Pensando Hoje
Sempre penso no dia que se chama hoje mas, o amanhã me preocupa porque não sabemos da nossa existência nos minutos seguintes. As horas que seguem adiante pertence a Alguém. Então, porque tamanha perturbação ou aflição?
Tudo por causa do esquecimento. Agradecer a cada dia pelos ideais alcançados são nossa nossa responsabilidade. Esquecemos. Será que Deus nos esquece? É óbvio que não!
Então, a culpa é minha e por isso a preocupação:
"Obrigado SENHOR pelos motivos conquistados e os que não alcancei ficam para..."
Está vendo como é fácil vir à tona tal questionamento? É por estas palavras incontestáveis é que vagamos e tresloucamos. Seria o ideal mais importante que a vida ou o ar que respiramos?
Eis a solução: Declare os teus sentimentos força de expressão e releve aquilo que não alcançou hoje e concentre na busca de tuas realizações conquistadas. Simplemente agradeça pelo HOJE.
